Account Manager/Associate Producer
Description:
Quaker Special Risk, a wholesale insurance broker & MGA is seeking an experienced account manager to work on a commercial production team. This individual will assist a commercial sales team to develop new business & hit targeted renewal retention goals. This position is responsible for specialty lines marketing, broker support functions including overseeing technical assistants to ensure superior day to day service is provided & long range planning goals are coordinated with the sales staff.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting brokers/sales managers in a team environment
- Rating for preparation of insurance quotes
- Preparation of complex insurance submission for commercial brokerage markets
- Policy language review & superior independent judgment to recommend insurance products
- Contacting clients regarding new & renewal business
- Coordinating daily workflow to meet deadlines
- Assisting to attain targeted production goals
- Attracting new accounts though direct contact with current production sources
Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree
- Minimum 3 years of commercial property/casualty experience as CSR or Technical Assistant or Assistant Underwriter
- Familiarity with extensive insurance terminology & coverage parts of ISO GL & Property policies
- Capable of marketing, quoting & binding commercial lines risks
- Professional written & verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of various PC software applications(Word, Excel, insurance rating systems)
- Strong organizational skills
- Energetic & Positive attitude, looking to “WOW” customers
- Fluency in Spanish or Chinese a plus
Technical Assistant/Customer Service Representative
Description:
Quaker Special Risk, a wholesale insurance broker & MGA is seeking a technical insurance assistant to work on a commercial production team. This individual will perform clerical & administrative duties including limited phone work to support the sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting underwriters/account managers in a team environment
- Rating for preparation of insurance quotes
- Preparation of policy endorsements & cancellations
- Policy review & policy issuance
- Contacting clients regarding new & renewal business
- Coordinating daily workflow to meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Associates Degree
- Minimum 2 years of commercial property/casualty experience
- Familiarity with basic insurance terminology & coverage parts of ISO GL & Property policies
- Professional written & verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of various PC software applications(Word, Excel, insurance rating systems)
- Strong organizational skills
- Energetic & Positive attitude, looking to “WOW” customers
- Fluency in Spanish or Chinese a plus
